Crawling beside the highway in skin-and-bone, burned scared, she was crying and begging human for help

Today we will tell you story of Majò, who was malnourished, burned scared and begging for help.

We named her Majò, which means “strong” in Kwéyl (the local dialect of St Lucia). She’s been through a degree of (over time) that I’ve never seen before. She hasn’t given up, so neither will we. We’re all in this together.

She is so malnourished, she is skin and bones and has so very little strength. Her front left paw appears broken, raw, and swollen. Her back right leg cannot bear any weight at all. She is covered in healed wounds that look like old burns. Her fur is still falling off around the largest “burn”.
