The EA-18G Growler is based on the successful and battle-tested F/A-18 series of aɪʀᴄʀᴀꜰᴛ, which have been the main multi-role fighters for the U.S. Navy’s aircraft carriers for many years. This makes the EA-18G Growler a lot faster and easier to move around than earlier electronic attack planes, which were more like transport planes.

The Boeing EA-18G Growler is an American electronic warfare plane that is based on a carrier. It is a modified version of the F/A-18F Super Hornet, which has two seats. The Northrop Grumman EA-6B Prowlers that were used by the US Navy were replaced by the EA-18G. Northrop Grumman is mostly responsible for the electronic warfare features of the Growler.

The EA-18G was made for the first time in 2007, and the US Navy started using it in late 2009. Australia has also bought twelve EA-18Gs, and the Royal Australian Air Force started using them in 2017.
