Shaina Magdayao suddenly disappeared from ‘ASAP’ and the Reason behind will surprise all fans

Do you have any idea why Kapamilya star Shaina Magdayao abruptly left ABS-Sunday CBN’s musical show “ASAP”?

The girl was recently spotted performing live on the “ASAP Natin To” stage for the first time in eight years.

For Shaina, dancing again on the show was a “symbolic regeneration” of her health, which is why she quit the show.

When he experienced symptoms of hypothyroidism, he decided to say goodbye to “ASAP” in 2014.

“I had to give up on that dream — no, it wasn’t even a dream, I was living the dream, that was my reality.

“Every Sunday, I would go on stage. It became a part of my life. It became a huge part of who I am as a person that I had to give up on,” ani Shaina sa panayam ng ABS-CBN.

He was diagnosed at that time with hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid. But he just ignored it until the signs and symptoms appeared.

Ang mga common symptoms ng hypothyroidism ay “fatigue, weight gain, joint and muscle pain, and slowed heart rate.”

“I had to stop it because I got diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I was gaining weight uncontrollably. I did not handle it well. At a very young age, unusual ‘yun.

“I’ve been puyat since I was 6 years old. I was not taking care of my body. I was not working out. I was not living a fit lifestyle.

“There’s even a gimmick on the side! You still have taping! Then there’s a movie! Youth, right? Until my body charged me,” admitted the actress.

He said, the changes in his body affected his confidence as a dancer and performer.

“Also, there is also mental damage done to me. Because I feel like, okay, I’m getting fatter and fatter, I can’t control it anymore.

“I was having breakouts also, which I never had a problem with. Those hormonal changes, he became too evident in my life when I quit ‘ASAP.’ I said, okay, I’ll just act,” he said.

“I did not think na time will come na masasabi ko, ‘It can be tamed.’ It’s all about hormonal imbalance. I’m at my pinaka-fit body, my state now. It did not happen overnight. Grabe ‘yung sacrifices na I had to do. I had to work out every other day,” pagbabahagi pa ni Shaina.

Until he became a pescetarian, which is a “vegetarian diet that incorporates seafood.” This is the reason why he lost weight and became confident in dancing again.

“This is my way of telling people, especially sa mga na-diagnose ng hypothyroidism, it’s not impossible to tame your hormones.

“You just have to be disciplined. Here I am right now, and I don’t even remember being this grateful for a healthy and fit body. Because, I never thought that I would be able to dance again. I never thought I would get rid of that weight,” he added.

“Your 25 years of my life in the industry, a big aspect of that is dancing, my being a dancer. I didn’t see him or felt like a loss when I quit ‘ASAP,’ because I had other things to do. Okay, I lost the dancing, but I had acting projects.

“Pero, ito, it gives me a renewed perspective even with my being a dancer. Para siyang renewal. In line siya with my life, with my career. Everything that is happening right now, it’s actually already a gift. It’s already a bonus. It’s not even part of the plan,” pahayag pa niya sa nasabing panayam.
