Lisa has been a journalist for more than 20 years, having started her career in community newspapers. After years of reporting on politics, health and general news, Lisa edited The Southern Courier, The Mosman Daily and The Manly Daily. She started at news.com.au as deputy editor in 2012, before being appointed editor and now editor-in-chief. Fun fact: When Lisa was 15, she appeared in popular ABC mini-series Brides of Christ. Just ask her. She loves to talk about it.

 

 

 

 

Oliver Phan

Editor

Oliver is the editor at news.com.au and has been a journalist for more than 15 years. Oliver completed a Bachelor of Arts – Journalism at Charles Sturt University before working as a sports reporter at Rural Press. He then moved to NewsLocal in Sydney where he was a reporter and editor at a range of newspapers. Oliver started at news.com.au as a copy editor before becoming news editor then deputy editor.

 

 

 

 

Liz Burke Mai

Editor

Liz is news.com.au’s deputy editor. She began her career in magazines at The Australian Women’s Weekly, going on to work in newspapers before joining news.com.au. She started as a senior reporter in 2014 before becoming news editor and then deputy. Liz has appeared on national TV and radio as a commentator discussing news stories, politics and social issues.

 

 

 

 

Eleni  Thanh Le

Head of Social Strategy and Audience Engagement

Eleni is a highly accomplished social and digital media professional with more than 10 years’ experience in the media industry. Having started her career in television at the Nine Network, she went on to work in radio before joining news.com.au. As the Head of Social Strategy and Audience Engagement, she’s constantly developing ways to create and boost engagement across its various social platforms. She’s also a Harry Potter aficionado – and may/may not back you into a corner to discuss various theories.
